For me, art is life and life is about art.
After years of painting i've learned how to ditch my inner critic and laugh at my ego. Gratefully I finally realized creating art is my passion and have devoted my life to that passion.
Every day my husband and I reframe our complaints (after we whine awhile) into something for which to be grateful.
I've taken painting / drawing courses at SFSU, CCAC (when they were still named that), UC at Berkely, studied with a special class in San Miquel de Allende in Mexico. plus a multitude of other independent Artists. all while still raising a family and working as CEO of a Staffing firm in the SF Bay Area. whew, makes me tired to think of it.
but NOW I paint full time and have done so for over 20 years, so I'm no spring chicken but still have fresh paint and brushes with spring in them. Not comparing myself to Monet but I've determined I will do what he did = have the brushes tied to his little old hands so he could paint till he dropped.
My art has been purchased by people from all over. I've shown and been awarded at art shows such as Ironstone Spring Art Show and Gallo’s Annual Art show. I’ve exhibited in San Joaquin, Calaveras, Tuolumne, and San Mateo Counties as well as Embler Airport Art Galleries at JFK Airport, New York, Miami, Florida, and Sao Paolo Brazil. I’ve also had my art in Art Slant Hong Kong. Currently my art can be seen by appointment at my Atelier in East Sonora or of course on this online gallery.
So just like you I'm much more complicated than a few paragraphs but it's about the art isn't it? Hope you enjoy.
My art business has been designated as a "Trusted Art Seller" with The Art Storefronts Organization, which means you can shop with confidence, and know that I stand behind the quality and value of my products.
